Since 17 March, the Ses Salines Town Hall, in Mallorca, has had a soundproof hydrostatic tank, designed and manufactured by Surtruck. On that date, Surtruck’s technical and commercial staff took delivery and trained them.

Antonio Venegas, commercial director of street cleaning and O&M Termosolares of Surtruck, showed the operators of the consistory the operation and the technological innovations of the new street cleaning vehicle.

The equipment has the following main features:

• 8,950-litre tank adapted to the vehicle frame.
• Polycentric section tank with pumped bottoms, built in special 5 mm thick aluminium with SURTRUCK certification.
• Multi-stage pump of 15 m3/h and 15 Kg/cm2.
• Integrated front bar for watering and street sweeping.
• Automatic hose reel with swivel coupling and 25 m of hose with adjustable lance, located at the rear of the vehicle between the chassis beams.
• Lateral buckets (replacing the pinions).
• Control panel in cab for operating the hydraulic system consisting of electro-pneumatic manipulators.
• Safe driving system (SCS).
• Loading and emptying mouth on the right side.
• Flow variator with progressive regulation (0% to 100%).
• Water level indicator tube in the tank.
• Overflow pipe with direct discharge to the ground, without interfering with the chassis or mechanical elements.
• Approved underrun protection device.
• Anti-cyclist protection bars.
• White paint finish.
• 360º adjustable aluminium pole with 10 m of hose and nozzle.
• Approved amber swivelling headlights.
• Renault D16 MED R4X2 250E6 chassis.
