October will be an important date for Surtruck because from then on it will have a permanent headquarters in Madrid that will allow it to offer, from January 2022, its own 24-hour technical service. This is essential for its customers and will allow it to grow, especially in the fire-fighting line, in the center and north of Spain. Luis Fernando Martín will be the sales representative, a position he has held since Surtruck’s beginnings, a little more than six years ago, although now he will do so with extensive facilities and his own workshop.
The company is fitting out 500 square meters for the workshop and 100 square meters for offices in its new facilities located in the Polígono Los Ángeles, in the Madrid town of Getafe.
Surtruck, a Sevillian company of cleaning vehicles, fire fighting vehicles and solar plants, has made this commitment to offer its current and potential customers a permanent maintenance service in case of any breakdown or incident in the vehicles. Until now, this service has been offered through associated workshops, and the forecast increase in the volume of work has led Surtruck to make this commitment.
Luis Fernando Martín explained that “Surtruck’s customers, who are mostly public bodies, fire departments and organizations, are very positive about this decision, which will help us to position ourselves better when it comes to bidding and will help us to increase our market share”.
The workshop director, Francisco Algaba, has been training the mechanics who will be in charge of the Madrid workshop for a couple of months, so that when it opens its doors in January, the Madrid workshop will have professionals trained under the Surtruck acronym after more than half a year of training in Seville.
Surtruck’s manager, Juan Gallego, explained that in this first phase, the Madrid headquarters will have a sales representative, two mechanics and an administrative assistant, but the goal is to increase the workforce by three or four more people by mid-2022.
