Surtruck’s staff is characterized, among other things, by its solidarity. The employees are very aware of the importance of helping those who need it most, and are always willing to do their bit. This was the reason why four years ago they decided to donate the money from the Christmas hampers they gave to their customers to families who were not going to have the opportunity to enjoy more special food on such special dates.
Now we want to go further and extend this solidarity contribution with collaborations of the staff to help organize the food batches during working hours, a task in which the Food Bank can always use help. The way in which these voluntary collaborations will be carried out is still being designed, given that dates have to be chosen on which a part of the staff can be dispensed with for a few hours. But the commitment is firm, something for which a meeting has already been held with José Pedraza, from the Food Bank Foundation’s Volunteer Department, who visited Surtruck’s facilities a few days ago to see how the factory works and to explain the different collaborations that could be maintained.
The commercial director of Limpieza Vial, Antonio Venegas, was in charge of receiving him and accompanying him on a tour of the workshop and offices, as well as explaining the operation of the different departments. He was also received by the head of the workshop, Francisco Algaba. Work has already begun on the idea that the collaboration with the Food Bank should go beyond the economic aid to acquire the 3,400 kilos of food that were distributed among families in the province and the city of Seville. One more challenge for a staff willing to contribute to society with their work and enthusiasm.
