Surtruck delivered at the end of the year a new light fire engine for firefighter interventions in the historic center of Toledo, which was presented by the deputy mayor of the municipality and councilor for Citizen Safety, Inés Cañizares. The vehicle is equipped with the basic material for any intervention to be carried out in the complicated and narrow streets of the historic center.
According to the deputy mayoress, the new fire truck “is suitable for intervening in fires, opening doors and gates, falling branches or trees, cutting metal profiles and any first intervention that occurs in the historic center of Toledo and joins another vehicle of similar characteristics that already has this park”.
“It is important that the service has two vehicles of these characteristics, given the enormous importance of the assets to be protected and the difficulty of access to the Casco”, said Cañizares, who has insisted on “the vital importance of the network of hydrants and hydrants, since the water tanks of any fire vehicle can be exhausted in a few minutes in case of a fully developed fire and these two vehicles can intervene together if necessary,” he added.
