Surtruck today celebrates World Energy Efficiency Day by further reinforcing its commitment to the environment, its work to reduce emissions and its efforts to be a pioneer, through its R&D&I, in efficient and clean technology for its customers. A challenge that is being developed in the company’s two lines of work: the cleaning sector and the fire-fighting sector.
In the first of these, Surtruck has just participated in the SICUR International Exhibition, where it has brought its latest technology, of which it has highlighted its totally electric fire-fighting bodywork, a pioneer in Spain: A 100% electric fire truck called Eco-Fire, capable of propelling water at low pressure and high pressure, non-stop and at full capacity during several work shifts, with an autonomy of 120,000 litres of water. This process is achieved thanks to its 48-volt lithium batteries, which are safe for workers.
The batteries of this equipment are completely independent of the chassis, and interchangeable if necessary. This means that the autonomy of the vehicle could be unlimited and it would only be necessary to replace the batteries when they were indicating it, or they could be supported from an external source while the extinguishing process is being carried out.
ECO-CLEANING
In cleaning, Surtruck has also been a pioneer with its ECO-Cleaning cleaning equipment, with which it cleans and sweeps the streets of the main cities in Spain, such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Burgos and many more. The cisterns and pressure washers use lithium batteries and an intelligent recharging system that extends their autonomy, while also consuming less water, something that has led the Arab Emirates to start investing in Sevillian technology.
Surtruck’s commitment to energy efficiency also extends to reducing its carbon footprint, which it has just offset in Andalusia, with a burnt area project at Finca El Vinagre, in the province of Huelva, along with another initiative in China. Surtruck has been working uninterruptedly for nine years and a few days ago received a certificate from the Ministry of Ecological Transition for the 2022 financial year.
But all the effort that is made is little to work for the energy efficiency of the planet. That is why Surtruck will continue to make this a premise in its R&D&I as well as in its business objectives and corporate social responsibility.
