For the fourth consecutive year, Surtruck will not send Christmas hampers to its customers, considering that these gifts could have a better purpose. The company has given that budget to the Food Bank for distribution to families in the province of Seville in need. The commercial director of Limpieza Vial, Antonio Venegas, visited the institution’s facilities to hand over the donation to the Marketing and Insertion Program coordinator, Juan Pedro Álvarez, and to learn about the organization’s operations.
For yet another Christmas, Surtruck’s dream of bringing illusion to families who really need it came true, something that has the gratitude of the original recipients of the gifts, the customers of the company that manufactures cleaning and fire fighting vehicles.
Juan Pedro Álvarez showed Antonio Venegas the Food Bank’s facilities and explained the process of classifying the food, the distribution to the municipalities and entities and the work carried out by the volunteers, among other aspects.
The Food Bank estimates that with the economic funds provided by Surtruck it will be possible to acquire around 3,400 kilos of food, which will be distributed in the coming days among families in the province and Seville city.
LOGISTICAL SUPPORT
Next year, Surtruck wants to go a step further in its solidarity challenge and will study the formula to collaborate with part of its staff in volunteering, so that they can join efforts to tasks such as sorting products in the warehouse of the Food Bank or at the collection points. A proposal that is sure to excite a workforce for whom helping others is not seen as something that has to be done exceptionally during the Christmas season, but as a commitment to society and to those who need it most.
