For the sixth consecutive year, Surtruck has chosen to donate the Christmas hampers for company gifts to those who really need them. The company has given this budget item to the Food Bank so that it can purchase basic necessities. This amount will be used to buy around 1,800 kilos of pulses.
Silvia Martínez and Antonio Moreno, from the company’s Electricity and Structures departments, attended the ceremony to present the funds on behalf of Surtruck. On behalf of the Seville Food Bank Foundation, they were welcomed by Antonio Castro, from the Management Committee.
During the visit to the facilities of the Seville Food Bank, Antonio Castro explained to the Surtruck representatives that the entity provides a response to some 25,000 monthly users throughout the province of Seville who are served through organisations, associations and charitable canteens. The Food Bank moves some 6,000 tonnes a year in the province and the need for volunteers is one of the main deficiencies it suffers from, which is why he encouraged Surtruck’s workers to put their enthusiasm into the task of participating in the different campaigns they carry out.
Silvia Martínez and Antonio Moreno ‘took note’ of the order and highlighted Surtruck’s interest in continuing with a collaboration that contributes to helping families going through difficult times. That is why the staff make an effort, Christmas after Christmas, to give up their Christmas hampers and donate this item together with those of the suppliers.
This is the sixth time that Surtruck has made this donation, an act that is now part of the company’s Christmas traditions: feeling good about helping those who need it most.
