Surtruck has received a visit from the mayor of the municipality where its facilities are located, La Rinconada, Javier Fernandez. The alderman came to see the site along with the delegate of Economy, Finance, Training, Employment and Culture rinconera, Raquel Vega, and the delegate of Urban Habitat and Environment of the municipality, José Manuel Romero Campos. And they were received by the president of Surtruck, Roberto Melgarejo, by the manager, Juan Gallego, and the financial director, Ana Jesus Reyes.
Surtruck representatives showed the Rinconero City Council the work that has been done since 2015 to manufacture fire fighting vehicles narrower than usual and more sustainable, as well as road cleaning vehicles with the latest technology. An own development of R + D + i that is making orders are manufactured for all of Spain and has led Surtruck to expand its facilities a year ago in an adjacent warehouse of 4,000 square meters in the Airport Industrial Park and to open a delegation with its own workshop in the Madrid town of Getafe.
The mayor of La Rinconada expressed his satisfaction with the growth of the company. “For me, as mayor, I am proud that Surtruck is located in La Rinconada because it is the type of company that we like at an institutional level, since it is characterized not only by manufacturing, from a technological point of view, but also by its innovative character. It reinforces our commitment in this area of the National IV for technology-based companies”.
In this sense, Javier Fernández emphasized that “obviously they will have our support at an institutional level”. And he assured that “far from putting obstacles to the procedures, we try to give facilities to the companies that want to invest in the area. For that reason we have spoken with the team of Surtruck to create synergies”. After the meeting, meetings will begin between both parties to work on common lines of growth, such as training and employment.
The president and manager of Surtruck thanked the visit of the authorities of La Rinconada and, especially, the sensitivity they have to get involved in promoting the growth of companies, which they believe will result in benefits and employment for the municipality and its inhabitants.
