The presentation of the new cleaning machinery that will operate in the municipalities of Conca de Barberà (Tarragona) was held on 16th September. This fleet of vehicles includes an Eco-Cleaning hydrocleaning unit designed and manufactured by Surtruck.
The presentation ceremony took place in the facilities of the UTE Conca de Barberà III, located in Espluga de Francolí (Tarragona). This joint venture, which has been awarded the cleaning service, is made up of the companies CLD and Urbaser.
The event was attended by the mayors and regional councillors of Conca de Barberà, together with the president of the Regional Council, Magí Trullols. On behalf of Surtruck, Antonio Venegas, commercial director of road cleaning and solar thermal O&M, was present.
The new Eco-Cleaning has a special system for supplying the engine with LPG, added to the chassis by EVARM. This system means that the vehicle carries the ECO label.
Technical features of the Eco-Cleaning
- High pressure hydrocleaning equipment and electric drive.
- Driven by a DC electric motor.
- 12 electrochemical cells connected in series.
- Battery recharging kit through the vehicle’s own heat engine.
- High pressure pump 150 Bar and 10 l/m.
- Water tank with a capacity of 500 litres, made of polyethylene (calibrated according to the useful load of the vehicle).
- Retractable collection reel with 25 metres of high pressure hose.
- 10 metres of 45 mm crushing hose with Barcelona connector for filling the tank.
- Chemical products dispenser.
- Amber colour LED rotating light.
- Hot water boiler powered by propane gas.
- Shelves with drawers.
- Register on the right rear door, to work with the doors closed.
