Surtruck has just signed the largest order in its history. It has been awarded a two-lot tender offered by the Madrid City Council for fire-fighting vehicles. The first batch includes 14 trucks of different types, such as decontamination, PEES, Electrodesagües, etc. And the second 11 vans, with command centre, supply and auxiliary vehicles. This is a mixed contract for heavy and second-output vehicles. In total there will be 25 units that the Sevillian company will have to bodywork and fit out within a year, as they will all have to be delivered to Madrid City Council after the summer of 2025. The maintenance service for the new fleet, contracted in the tender for five years, will begin at this time.
The first technical meetings to establish the priorities for each vehicle and the technical specifications required for their design have already been held, so Surtruck’s technical team is already working on the design of the fleet that will circulate in the heart of Madrid.
The economic amount awarded to Surtruck is 8.5 million euros excluding VAT, a figure that makes the final value of the contract more than 10 million euros, making it the largest order in the history of the company, which is about to celebrate its first decade of existence.
