With its entry into service, it will increase the penetration capacity in the neighbourhoods covered by this park, such as Bellavista, Bermejales, La Oliva and Bami, assisting in emergency services such as house fires.
With this acquisition, there are now seven BUL vehicles, designed and manufactured by Surtruck, operating in the Fire Brigade’s mobile fleet.
On 19 March, the presentation of the new investments made by Seville City Council in the process of improving the resources of the Fire and Rescue Service took place. The event was attended by the Delegate for Governance and Major Festivities, Juan Carlos Cabrera, who highlighted “the commitment that the municipal government has been making since the previous term of office to renewing the fleet and updating the equipment of the City Council’s Fire Department”.
The new Surtruck BUL has a double S-Cab cab and complies with all directives and regulations for occupant safety, with ERAs R14, R16, R17, and R29 rollover and impact safety. The vehicle is built on a Renault D 280 CV chassis, with a structure made of extruded aluminium sections. It also has a removable support designed to meet the ergonomic needs required for this type of vehicle.
The unit is also equipped with the latest advances in emergency technology, a 360° vision and recording camera, and a navigation and geolocation system.
The vehicle has a combined low and high pressure pump, a 1500 litre water tank, a state-of-the-art lighting tower and rescue and extinguishing equipment.
