She felt attracted and caught by the Surtruck project, a company that was being born and in which many opportunities were opening up for her. This industrial engineer, who had worked at Abengoa, had lived in the United States for three and a half years, studied for an MBA at the EOI and was an expert in structural calculations, did not want to miss out on the professional challenge offered by Surtruck. She jumped on that train and today, almost three years later, she is the commercial director of the Products Division.
What does your area consist of?
It consists of finding utensils and equipment that can be useful to our customers. It is not an easy task because we have to select a lot, but we have managed to have a very complete range.
What do these products have in common?
Their efficiency and that they are the latest on the market, the most technological and sophisticated. And in the sectors we work for this is very important, because optimising results can sometimes save lives.
Is your vision different from that of other areas of the company?
Probably yes, because in addition to dealing with professionals, I also deal with suppliers and that gives me a broader, overall vision. It is something enriching, because it allows me to make more contributions.
You created your department from scratch. What is your assessment?
A very positive one, because from having nothing to having five very solid brands at international level that have bet on us… that is very important. The consolidation of the department has been complicated and costly, but it’s done and now we have to continue growing on the basis of it.
What is the greatest satisfaction in your day-to-day work?
Receiving feedback from the professionals. When they tell me that the lances they have bought from us have changed their way of working, or that a ladder we have sent them allows them to reach places they never thought possible. We work for a sector that puts its life on the line every time we go out and to be of use to them in such a complicated challenge is our greatest reward.
